RETENSION APPLIANCES
The Hawley Retainer has several significant features. The acrylic arch is designed to fit comfortably on the palate of the patient’s mouth. It provides excellent retention and control of the entire arch as the labial arch wire extends from canine to canine. The “C” Clasps are placed distal from the canine for retention of the appliance. These are preferred in order to prevent any relapse.
